TORSTENSSON-SEAGATE 1-0

Wooohoooooo, eventually the disk is patched, back from the dead, all data remains just as it was before it "died", in short, Torstensson, Seagate 1-0. Bought stuff that was needed for "fixningen" a while ago but have not had the time or desire until yesterday. Found more guides that says how to go about it, most seem based on the same as I mentioned in the previous blog entry on the topic.

If you click read more below, so I enclose links to the other guides I found, as well as to the places where I purchased it needed that little adventure.

Sunset at Tumlehed - HDR

Was down at Tumlehed just outside Gothenburg on Sunday night, it was even overcast and gray, but I thought there's always something to sheeting grådasket. Good thing I had, just as the sun was a thumb over the horizon, scattered clouds on the horizon, and showed an incredible sunset, I had not really expected, it felt almost like it happened for me ;-). This is one of the results of HDR.

Seagate 7200.11 hard drive firmware problem, not found by the bios.

A large number of hard drives from Seagate type 7200.11 with a particular firmware, in my case, "SD15" becomes after a time completely useless. The disk ports of some kind of "busy state" which means that not even see the bios. Bought the disk for about 5 months ago. One morning strike your computer and after thorough debugging and consultants of knowledgeable colleagues and I concluded that the motherboard was probably discarded. Bought new parts and moved with my 2 seagate drives. After all, twisting to get together all the pieces so refused my 500GB disk to be found. Obviously thought that it was connected incorrectly, or contact any discarded or broken part. In the end I concluded that this was not so but that it was something with the disk, started searching online and found that the disk could be from a series with a firmware that was not entirely seamless (discarded). får man fram om disken kan vara drabbad eller inte, min var med på listan. Found on Seagate's website a place where you can enter the model number and serial number and when you get up on the disk can be hit or not, I was on the list. Created a case with their support, got an answer after two weeks of the course, replace the disk, but if there is data that is not backup, I can connect with a company in a link to the attached. A little more frustrated, I searched further and found an interesting thread on the Seagate forum. There were some guys who cheated out how to fix the problem with the disk. The link below is a brilliant description of how to go about, with pictures and everything, they recommend, however, allowing Seagate to withdraw its data on which they offer to do this for free, yourself, I do not believe that this would be free of charge in any way. Naturally, I intend to try the solution contained in the link at the bottom, just need to acquire some necessary materials first, to report what had happened for a while. I understand maybe not the layman whatsoever shall give on this job but it can not go over to the woods, so if I succeed, it will be understood of course a feather in his hat, to myself anyway.

It's always embarrassing when it disappears a few hundred gig data like that without warning, hoping that this can lead to some who find this will be helped by the information. We'll see what happens, cross your fingers and toes ... NOTE: Read the comments in the thread on the forum, lots of people have succeeded, this will be exciting ...

Latest addition to the HDR-family

Was outside playing with the guys this weekend, took the opportunity to bring your camera and tripod and take some pictures, have passed the lonely tree many times and thought it would be a good reason. It was hazy, but almost as if the sun ventured through the cloud cover but not really. It is really fun with HDR, I must say, to get the beautiful structure from the sky while it is the color of the soil and tree. This image consists of 7 exposures to f8 aperture and shutter speed between 1 / 200 ->> 1 / 3200th
