TORSTENSSON-SEAGATE 1-0
Wooohoooooo, eventually the disk is fixed, again from the dead, all data remains just as it was before it "died", in short, Torstensson, Seagate 1-0. Bought stuff that was needed for "fixningen" a while ago but have not had the time or desire until last night. Have found many guides that says how to go about it, most seem based on the same that I mentioned in the previous blog entry on the subject.
If you click read more below, so I enclose links to the other guides I've found, and to a place where I bought the ingredients for that little adventure.
There was this wizard I used to end when I drove through the job itself. But hopped over GND, nothing linked to it.
We come across a problem as there are hundreds of tips in this huge thread where I first found the solution.
Here I bought ttl converter - Electrokit
Here I found a USB-RS232 - Kjell & Company , also purchased lab charge and battery holder for CR2032, which I used that power to TTL converter.
Ran into one thing, trying to feed the SATA power with a molex-sata for an external drive but it was just crap signs of hyper terminal, linked directly from SATA box and then after that went well. I wonder what the difference is?
